We’ll have the following veggies this week:
Lettuce, chard, kale, carrots, beets, onions, zucchini, cucumber, tomatoes, corn, cilantro, parsley, basil, scallions, hot peppers, bell peppers, eggplant and garlic.
On the farm this week:
We got another 3 inches of rain this weekend, and so had to get the pump out again. Even though I love pumping out the low spots, after this weekend I’d be happy if it didn’t rain again this year. The weather’s been pretty beautiful for working in though. Sunny, breezy and cool and no mosquitos! So I guess I shouldn’t complain.
It’s also Michaels last week here on the farm. He’s starting his new ‘job’ – something to do with his ‘masters’. I guess it’s true that some people smile a lot when they’re really sad, because here’s Michael smiling on his last week.
Also, there will be free range chickens now at the market for anyone interested in that.
