We’ll have the following veggies this week;

Lettuce, spinach, kale, carrots, beets, potatoes, onions, brussels sprouts, squash, tomato, leek, radish, turnip, broccoli, bok choi, cilantro, green onions,

Since it’s the last week and everything is freezing we picked all our greenhouse tomatoes and will give out green tomatoes this week. We expect these to ripen in a couple weeks if you leave them out on the counter.

On the farm this week.

This was a cold week! It’s hasn’t been going above zero until afternoon and then it bareley gets above zero – so harvesting has been tricky and we started harvesting bc the harvest windows are so short. Most of the greens can freeze over night as long as they’re not frozen when we harvest them.

So we’ve been spending the mornings harvesting root veggies and the afternoons harvesting greens. Other than that, there’s not much left to say! We’re probably going to be done harvesting everything by the end of this week. The only thing left in the ground are carrots and winter radishes.

Irina brought her homemade chokecherrie vodka and perogies to celebrate the last harvest today! I made a pumpkin pie out of kobacha squash that no one ate except me for some reason..

While everyone has been harvesting, Kesley and I have been putting up the greenhouse. It’s going slow and it’s making me nervous because it seems like we’re almost out of time and have so much left to do. So I won’t be at the last market tomorrow because I’ll be working on the greenhouse.

Thanks again everyone. I hope you enjoyed your veggies this summer!
