Hello everyone,
This Tuesday, Oct 24, is our very last summer csa pick up and farmers market for this year! I’m not going to lie: I’m looking forward to lying around and eating nothing but potato chips pretty soon!
This week we’ll have: lettuce, spinach, chard, kale, broccoli, brussels sprouts, carrots, potatoes, beets, onions, tomatos, squash, pumpkins, dill, cilantro and parsley.
We’ll also be giving away the worlds biggest bunch of beets (unofficially) to the first person who can name the different varieties of beets we’ve grown this year ( you just have to name the colour) .
We said goodbye to Jaroslav this morning as he headed home to Czech, and he left just in time because it’s about to get cold ( minus 10 on Thursday) ! So Sarah will be making a rare appearance at the market this week. Come give her a hug!
After tuesday Sarah and I will be on our final harvest spree digging up potatoes and carrots for the winter CSA. Now that Jaroslav is gone I realized I should have asked Irina when she gets back from her trip. I hope soon!
That’s it. Thanks again everyone and see you tomorrow!
Jonathan, Sarah, and Jaroslav
