As a CSA member, you get the freshest local produce at 15% - 20% less cost than buying at our farmers market.
How it works: 'CSA' stands for 'community supported agriculture'.
In the winter/spring you purchase a CSA subscription from the farm, and during the summer and fall you a receive a weekly selection of fresh vegetables. You also support local farming by sharing in the ups and downs of farming: depending on the year, some crops might do better than others.
CSA sizes : You can choose between The Full or The Half.
On average the full share feeds 3-4 people and the half share feed 1-2 people. The full share pick ups are on Tuesdays and The Half share pick ups are on Thursdays.
CSA length: You can choose betwen 15 weeks or 18 weeks. Both options start at the beginning of June. The 15 week option ends in Mid September and the 18 week option ends 3 weeks after the 15 week in October. There is also the option of adding 3 weeks on once the 18 weeks is over by signing up for our 3 week fall CSA
.CSA pick up locations: You can choose to pick up at The Wolseley farmers Market (160 Ethelbert St) or The Farm (700 Mcphillips road)

GREENHOUSE TOMATO SUBSCRIPTION
CSA members will start receiving tomatoes sometime in August, but for an extra $32 you can add greenhouse tomatoes to your CSA pick ups starting in June. We don't have the capacity to grow greenhouse tomatoes for all the CSA members and greenhouse tomatoes are not included in the price of the CSA. Subscribing to the greenhouse tomatoes will get you a total extra 8 lb of tomatoes from June to July in addition to the regular tomatoes that all CSA members receive in August.
FALL CSA
Once the last regular season pick up is finished in Oct, we offer an additional 3 weeks for $88. These 3 pick ups will be on Tuesday only but are available to both half share and full shares. The sign up form for this is up on our home page usually by the end of August
WHAT TO EXPECT ?
VEGETABLE SELECTION
The weekly selection varies depending on what’s in season, with 8-12 of the following vegetables offered each week for full share and 6 – 12 for half share: Arugula, Basil, Beans, Beets, Broccoli, Cabbage, Carrots, Cauliflower, Chard, Cilantro, Corn, Cucumbers, Dill, Eggplant, Kale, Leeks, Lettuce, Onions, Parsley, Peas, Peppers, Potatoes, Radish, Spinach, Squash, Tomatoes, Turnips, Zucchini.
Wolseley PICK UP vs Farm PICK UP
For the Wolseley pick you go down a line and pack your own veggies. This allows you some choices. For example each week you will typically have the choice of: lettuce, spinach, chard or kale.
For the farm pick up you will show up at the farm and pick up a box of vegetables that we have packed for you. Becuase we pack the boxes for you , you don't have the same choices as at Wolseley but we will keep changing what's in your box from week to week to keep it interesting.

Common Questions
At the CSA pick up we have one person working at the CSA table and one at the market. The market table is set up to display the veggies we have that week whereas the CSA table is set up to be more convenient for CSA members to pick up.
There are sometimes differences in what you find each week at the market and in the CSA. For example, we will plan to bring a few cabbages to market each week, but not for CSA each week. Also because the amount of CSA customers is much larger than our market customers, when a new crop is just starting to produce and we have a small amount ready to harvest but not enough for the CSA we often bring it to the market and wait a week until there’s more to harvest for the CSA.
Although the selection at market and CSA is often different, providing vegetables for our CSA is our first priority and only bring to the market the surplus of vegetables that we don’t need for the CSA.
If you can’t make a pick up we ask that you send someone in your place to pick up for you. If you forget and want to make up a missed a pick up we ask that you come between 630-7 on another pick up day (either Tuesday or Thursday) and we’ll make sure you get plenty of veggies.
Because Half shares and Full shares are different harvest and we only harvest enough for the people picking up we can’t accommodate half shares picking up on Tuesday or Full shares picking up on Thursday. You can however come after 6:30 if it’s not your pick up day to collect veggies
